Questions.

How are companies on the register verified?

Each company is checked against the public register of its regulator, and the owner provides the licence, the latest accounts and confirmation of the banking in place before the profile is released.

Are profiles public?

No. Profiles are anonymised and released to registered, matched parties after a confidentiality undertaking.

Does BCC act for the buyer or the seller?

For one side only in any transaction. The firm’s transactions practice advises on due diligence, the change-of-control application and completion.

Can a firm without a licence request payment processing?

Yes. Firms serving higher-risk clients, and firms operating under a partner’s programme, obtain acquiring and processing through the banking register.

How often is the register updated?

Continuously as entries arrive; the price report is published quarterly.
